I am the artist in Residence for www.needcoffee.com as well as a denizen on The Unique Geek. My interests run from high to low brow art. Steampunk and Sci fi. Classical Music and perhaps some opera thrown in for good measure.

A lot of people from the cycling community came out and there was a very nice crowd. People enjoyed some beer from Bold City Brewery and conversation. Note to self kern the type on prices. People thought some of my art was 6000 not 60.00. I am open to negotiations.

- Posted using BlogPress from my awesome steampowered iTouch.
Rox of Spazhousehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01478199970396059516noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6356741710501420832.post-25238780783109064752012-11-13T15:48:00.001-08:002012-11-13T15:48:36.100-08:00Art Show at Cork November 16th!Checkout the link to Bikejax for info on the bike arts how at Cork Art District. This guy did a great job.
The original iPad is thicker and the Thrice is thinner, so I need the holders adjusted and I am having changes made to the front.
First off, I really wanted a skin for the Thrice. Gelaskins and UniqueSkins do not have skins yet but, I had left over fake wood 3M material I use for my Steampunk bike project. (A tip, Unique skins allows you to design your own skin and sometimes they run a buy one get one free, so I utilized a 17" Mac book design to give me the most amount of fake wood design) I did not have enough to fully cover it but I was able to cut strips and create a 60's look for the back. The back is covered enough to save the aluminum from being scratched.

Well this will take a couple of weeks as the craftsman will be out of town, so I need to have a temp one made.
I found this great Edward Gorey appointment book from 1999 that is close to the exact size. There is a wee short length but will not harm it. The inside pages really did not amount to anything so I remover them with an Exacto knive. Then I re-enforced the inside with black duct tape. To hold the pad in place I used elastic super glued to the inside. This will be my back up case until I get my leather one back.

- Posted using BlogPress from my awesome steampowered iTouch.

Location:Oak St,Jacksonville,United States
Rox of Spazhousehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01478199970396059516noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6356741710501420832.post-68204355027698324472011-10-17T17:25:00.001-07:002011-10-17T17:25:03.319-07:00Drawing of the Week: Going to meet the InLawsWhile watching Haven I liked the episode with the Deep One folk going into the water. The name comes from French pincer, to pinch, and nez, nose.

Although pince-nez were used in Europe in the 15th, 16th, and 17th centuries, modern ones appeared in the 1840s and reached their peak popularity around 1880 to 1900. By the late 1930s, they were popular mostly with the elderly.

I bought a pair at a great price a number of days ago and I realized that the magnification power is close to what I am using for reading. I have taken to wearing them for short reading. Oddly enough I now notice the bows of regular glasses when I wear those.

I believe they look cool. In a Laurence Fishburne/Morpheus kind of cool.

- Posted using BlogPress from my awesome steampowered iTouch.
Rox of Spazhousehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01478199970396059516noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6356741710501420832.post-28628611928246935472011-10-03T06:03:00.001-07:002011-10-03T06:03:04.315-07:00Drawing of the Week - October 3, 2011This is called Traffic Signs. My co-worker said, "it reminded him of a Star Trek Next Generation scene. The original size is 2x3.5" graphite.

- Posted using BlogPress from my iPad
Rox of Spazhousehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01478199970396059516noreply@blogger.com0
